The Shield Foundation

Support for those
who serve.

Peer connection, shared experience, and a community committed to recovery.

Peer support & community

You can support others.
And receive support, too.

The Shield Foundation supports first responders, military personnel, and veterans through programs focused on sobriety.

Its peer community also welcomes correctional officers. Through shared experience and the 12 Steps, participants can find encouragement as they navigate recovery and the lasting impact of service.

Connected in Scranton

A partnership
close to home.

Fellowship House partners with The Shield Foundation to connect first responders and veterans with peer services and support groups in our community. Fellowship House also serves as the Foundation’s local address.

Peer support offers connection with people who understand shared experiences. It is distinct from clinical treatment and can be part of a broader network of support.

For current meetings and Foundation updates, visit its Facebook page or contact Fellowship House.
