Kevin Carey, BA, CADC
Primary Counselor

Meet Kevin.
Kevin brings 10 years of experience in the behavioral health field, beginning his career as a Patient Care Technician and transitioning into the counseling role he has held for the past seven years. Throughout his career, Kevin has developed a deep passion for supporting individuals in recovery through empathy, genuine connection, and a life-affirming approach to care.
Kevin believes in forming meaningful partnerships with patients and meeting them where they are. By seeking to understand each person’s experiences, challenges, and strengths, he works collaboratively with patients to identify and overcome barriers to recovery. His approach emphasizes the importance of being truly seen and understood as a foundation for meaningful change.
Kevin became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in 2022 and is currently pursuing his Master of Social Work (MSW) at Marywood University, where he continues to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of behavioral health.
A central part of Kevin’s counseling philosophy is helping patients rediscover how to enjoy life in recovery. He believes that addressing self-defeating beliefs, isolation, and the underlying needs that can contribute to substance use is an important part of building a fulfilling life. Kevin places particular value on the power of connection and healthy relationships to strengthen self-esteem and help individuals move away from relying on substances to fill emotional and relational voids.
